About

JW Photography & Covers

I first fell in love with photography in the fifth grade using an old box camera of my Grandmothers (which I still own to this day). Now, in the digital world, new adventures in creativity are an exciting way to continue. I took a leap of faith in 2003 and started my own photography business. This journey has not been without its challenges. However, I have been greatly blessed by family and friends. Their support has been key to my successes. My husband has been an encourager and puts up with my ever growing prop collection. Our four children—who have given me adorable grand babies, seven in total.

Collaborating with talented models from all over the US to create book covers is truly completing my love of visual storytelling in a way I never thought possible.Based near Mt. Hood and hour east of Portland, Oregon is such a fertile and lush area providing a backdrop made of dreams for outdoor images. The camera room in my residential studio offers opportunity for a well rounded choice of style and theme.

There is something truly special about telling a story with imagery. The story could be capturing candid photos of my family a newborn or high school senior, to a conceptual book cover. It brings me joy just to create images that are both compelling and have emotional connection. Whats your story? I would love to help you tell it with keepsake images.
